You will arrive the afternoon or evening before the first morning’s hunt so we can all sit around the lodge and talk over the next day’s hunts expectations, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and likely swap a few hunting stories to boot. In the morning you will be served breakfast, your guide will answer any last-minute questions that you may have, and then you’ll head to pre-scouted areas with your guide and get ready to hear the Maine woods as it comes alive in anticipation of the turkeys put on a vocal show! Our guides will call for you, with you, or will just stay with you if you would like to call by yourself. We will be hunting 100’s of private acres of fields and hard woods in the heart of turkey country where the big Toms live. We typically start off in blinds (both brush & pop-ups) and then run, gun, and glass hundreds of acers of Maine farmlands chasing our big Eastern Tom Turkeys up close and personal! Our guided turkey hunts end at noon or when you’ve tagged out and then your guide will get you back to the lodge for a hearty lunch while he processes your turkey for you.
Hunters will need their State of Maine 3-day small game license (non-Res $50) and Wild Turkey Permit ($20) which can be purchases online at: http://www.state.me.us/ifw/
